Setup

Do I need any apps? No. Terrazza uses Shopify's own features. The free Shopify Search & Discovery app adds color and size filters and complementary products. Most stores already have it.

Why don't my products show swatches? Swatches appear for options named in Theme settings > Swatches > Swatch option names (Color, Colour, Finish and Material by default), and for options with Shopify swatches. If your option is called something else, for example "Wood", add it to the list. A product needs at least two values in the option.

My swatches show the plant, not the pot. How do I fix that? Swatches are cut from the variant's photo around its focal point. Open the photo in the admin, choose Edit > Focal point, and move the point onto the material. Or give the option value a Shopify swatch image. See Swatches.

The "Will it fit?" block doesn't appear. It needs dimension metafields on the variants (terrazza.width, terrazza.depth, terrazza.height or terrazza.diameter). A weight alone is not enough. See Dimensions.

Can I show centimeters first, or only inches? Yes. Use Theme settings > Product > Dimension units: Imperial first, Metric first, Imperial only or Metric only. Each Dimensions block can also override it.

Why does a product open on size M? Theme settings > Product > Preferred option value is set to M. A product opens on its first available variant with that value. Clear the field to open on the first available variant instead.

"Pairs well with" is empty. Add complementary products in Search & Discovery > Recommendations. See Pairs well with. Products without them hide the section.

My collection only has Availability and Price filters. Add Color and Size filters in Search & Discovery > Filters. See Color and size filters.

The Shop by finish swatches open an unfiltered collection. Check that Color filter parameter matches your store's color filter (for example filter.v.option.color), and that each Filter value is spelled exactly as in the filter.

Design

Can I use my own fonts? Terrazza uses fonts from Shopify's font library, which includes hundreds of families, many Google Fonts among them. Choose them in Theme settings > Typography. Uploading custom font files is not part of the theme's settings.

How do I make the header solid on the home page? In the Header section, turn off Transparent over the home hero.

How do I move the logo to the left? In the Header section, set Logo position to Left.

Can the buttons be square? Set Theme settings > Layout > Button corner radius to 0.

How do I change text that isn't a setting, like "Will it fit?" or "Your bag"? Go to Online Store > Themes > ... > Edit default theme content and search for the phrase.

How do I change the 30-day returns wording? There are two places. The delivery card's Returns heading and Returns text are settings in the product page's Delivery cards block. The line in the Delivery & returns accordion is theme text: change it in Edit default theme content by searching for "Returns are accepted".

Cart and checkout

How do I turn on the free-shipping bar? Enter the amount in cents in Theme settings > Cart > Free shipping threshold, for example 25000 for $250. Also set up a matching free-shipping rate in Settings > Shipping and delivery. See Cart and free shipping.

Can I go straight to the cart page instead of the drawer? Yes: Theme settings > Cart > Cart type > Page.

Updates and code

How do I update Terrazza? When a new version is available, Shopify shows it in Online Store > Themes. Updating adds the new version to your theme library with your settings and content carried over. Code you edited yourself is not carried over, so note your changes before you update.

Can I edit the theme code? You can, but duplicate the theme first, and keep a note of what you changed. Code changes are not covered by support; for custom work, consider hiring a Shopify Partner.

Is Terrazza good for SEO? It outputs structured data that search engines and AI assistants read: products with all their variants, prices and stock; breadcrumbs; your store and its search; FAQs from FAQ sections; and blog articles. Shared links show Open Graph and X/Twitter previews. Page titles and descriptions come from each product's and page's Search engine listing in the admin.

Does it work on foldable phones and tablets? Yes. Terrazza is designed for phones first and has been checked on foldable phones, folded and unfolded and in both orientations, as well as on tablets and desktops.
